Former Judge Mark Thompson of Dillon, CO; repeat offender

The state of Colorado presented Mark Duncan Thompson with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Denver School of Law.

FYI: Former Gov. Bill Ritter was duped into appointing Mark as a District Court judge in 2010. Mark didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Breckenridge area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The Judicial Disciplinary Commission found Mark guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Threatened to put two attorneys in jail
• Promised to humiliate the two attorneys in front of 80 jurors for missing a deadline

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. July 2022), Mark practices his so-called brand of law at 37 Grays Peak Trail in Dillon, Colorado.
