Judge Joan Compareti-Cassani of Los Angles; liar, moron, lifetime porker

In 1977, the California Supreme Court erred when it awarded Joan Compareti-Cassani with a license to practice law.

From 1978 to 1983 Joan worked as an attorney for the California Depart of Corrections. From 1983 to 1995 she worked as an assistant California Attorney General (aka, gopher, lackey). Therefore, Joan has had her significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for thirty-three (33) years. In fact, Joan the Moron has never had a “real” job since graduating from law school.

Obviously, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Los Angeles area was about to offer this loser a good-paying job. Can’t blame them, right?

Unfortunately, ex-Gov. Pete Wilson was hoodwinked (duped) into appointing Joan the Loser to a judgeship in Los Angeles Count in 1995.

In 2010, the California Judicial Commission filed misconduct charges against Judge Compareti-Cassani. Those charges included the following:
  1. Abused her legal authority
  2. Violated a defendant’s 6th Amendment right to self-representation
  3. Intentionally disregarded California law
  4. Was professionally incompetent
  5. Improper demeanor while on the bench
  6. Failure to be patient, dignified and courteous to persons she dealt with in court
Joan’s misconduct came about during a hearing wherein a pro se (unrepresented) defendant was pursuing two motions he had just filed.

Joan the Moron repeatedly called the defendant a liar because she didn’t believe he actually drafted and/or prepared the motions, which he did. The Moron didn’t believe that a non-attorney was capable of preparing motions on his own. Apparently, the Moron came to this conclusion because she was intellectually incapable of actually understanding what the motions stood for. Put simply, just another overpaid Dumbo running amuck in the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Commission punished Joan the Loser by gifting her with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. Aug 18, 2011) Joan the Louse remains on the bench in LA at an annual cost to State and County taxpayers of about $220,000, which is about $150,000 more than she’s worth.
