Judge Homer Jasso Sr. of Edinburg, TX; Dumbo, sexual harasser
The state of Texas presented Daniel Burkeen with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the University of Texas Law School.
The State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Homer guilty of and/or charged him with engaging in the following misconduct.
-
Accused of sexually harassing court employee
-
Admitted to telling employee she had “a nice butt”
-
Employee stated that Danny kissed her, touched her inappropriately and made inappropriate comments about her body
-
Admitted to having sexual affair with count employee
-
Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Homer!)
-
Admitted to terminating 5 court employees for ‘political reasons” after they had expressed support for his electoral opponent in the upcoming election
-
Illegally imposed a $6,000 bond on a defendant even though state law only allowed for a maximum $5000 bond
-
Failed to comply with the law
-
Oral testimony at ethics hearing contradicted previous sworn written statements
-
Failed to maintain competence in the law (Dumbo)
-
Failed to act with candor in dealings with ethics investigators
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Conduct Board punished Homer by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. April 2019), Judge Jasso continues to sit as Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4, Place 2, in Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas.
