Judge John Jackson of Corsicana, TX; lying loser

The state of Texas presented John H. Jackson with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from South Texas College of Law.

Johnny has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past 38 years (ca. 1977 to 2015). Apparently no self-respecting law firm in the greater Houston area was about to offer Johnny a good paying job.

The State Bar of Texas has accused Johnny of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he as employed as an assistant District Attorney

While employed as an assistant prosecutor, Johnny was assigned to handle the prosecution of Cameron Todd Willingham who was subsequently convicted of murdering his three children by intentionally setting fire to his home.

The misconduct charges involving Johnny are as follows:

• Before, during, and after the 1992 trial, [Jackson] knew of the existence of evidence that tended to negate the guilt of Willingham and failed to disclose that evidence to defense counsel
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed to disclose to defense that jailhouse informant and prosecution witness did in fact receive favorable treatment for testify against Willingham.
• Falsely advised trial court that he knew of no favorable treatment provided to jailhouse informant’s testimony for the prosecution

How does anyone sleep at night knowing that they were intimately involved in a wrongful conviction that led to the defendant being executed? One expects such heartless and psychopathic conduct from any of the following infamous mass murderers.

• Albert “The Mad Hatter” Anastasia
• Carmine “The Snake” Persico
• Giovanni “The Pig” Brusca

It should be noted that in August 1998, the Texas Supreme Court had the chutzpah to appoint Johnny to preside over a disciplinary proceeding involving attorney Luro Taylor. Talk about the fox defending the chicken pen.

If there was real justice in this world, then Johnny should rightfully be imprisoned for the balance of his miserable life.

All that awaits us now is to see what punishment if any the State Bar metes out to Johnny.
