U.S. Judge Arthur Tarnow of Detroit; moronic loser

The state of Michigan provided Arthur J. Tarnow with a law license in 1965 after he graduated from the Wayne State University Law School in Detroit.

Former President Bill Clinton was duped into appointing Arthur as a District Court Judge in Detroit in 1998. Arthur didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Detroit area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

In one matter, Judge Tarnow was assigned to sit on a case involving Alexander Aceval and a 103-pound drug bust after he pleaded guilty in state court.

Aceval’s trial ended with a unanimous jury verdict. Later on, it was revealed that Wayne County Judge Mary Waterstone had permitted perjury at the trial to conceal the role of an informant in the cocaine bust. As a consequence, Aceval pleaded guilty during a second trial before a different judge and was sentenced to at least ten years in prison.

Aceval sought to have his guilty plea tossed because of the misconduct of Judge Waterstone and assistant prosecutor Karen Plants regarding the false testimony of the informant. Aceval claimed the guilty plea that followed the jury verdict that was reversed constituted “double jeopardy,” which it clearly did not. However, in his ignorant wisdom, Judge Tarnow bought Aceval’s asinine argument and vacated his guilty plea.

Subsequently, the Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati overturned Tarnow’s absurd decision and reinstated Aceval’s guilty plea, which meant he was returned to prison to serve his sentence.

In its ruling, the Court of Appeals said Aceval’s case did not trigger constitutional protections against “double jeopardy” — being charged twice for a crime. Unfortunately, Tarnow the Moron wasn’t able to comprehend such a mundane legal theory.

As we speak (ca. October 2014), Tarnow continues to sit on the bench in Detroit.

It should be noted that Arthur opted for Senior Status in 2010, which means he is only required to work 10 hours per week while receiving 100% of his annual $199,000 salary.
