Especially galling is the fact that Edith earns $211,200 a year and can retire with a pension of 100% of her earnings for the balance of her life. In addition, her husband in a lawyer and likely earns around $300,000 a year. Edith’s financial disclosure statement shows additional earnings of $22,000 a year and stocks and bonds valued at as much as $2 million. Apparently, Arrogant Edith cheerfully looks down upon those on the lower economic scale with total disdain and contempt.
