U.S. Judge Patrick Wyrick of Oklahoma City; religious zealot, misogynist

The state of Oklahoma provided Patrick Robert Wyrick with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Law.

President Donald “Trumporleone” Trump was instructed to nominate Patty for a seat on the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahom even though he wasn’t the most qualified attorney/jurist in the greater Oklahoma City area. He got it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

While practicing as the former Oklahoma solicitor general, Patty defended a law that would have required minors to get a prescription before buying emergency contraception and forced adult women to prove their age before they could have such contraception. The legislation was permanently blocked by a state judge in 2014.

Patty also filed an amicus brief in the 2014 Hobby Lobby case before the Supreme Court, arguing that the Affordable Care Act’s contraceptive coverage mandate was unconstitutional because “religious faith is more than mere belief. It is practice.” (Jennifer Bendery)

Despite his admitted misogyny and religious zealotry, every Senate Republican voted to confirm him. Since Patty is 38-years old (DOB: 1981) he could well be on the bench as an unqualified and bigoted misogynist for fifty-five or more years.

As we speak (ca. November 2019), Patty the Misogynistic Zealot continues to sit as a judge on the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahom.
