U.S. Judge Robert Klausner of Los Angeles; lifetime porker, double dipper   The California Supreme Court presented Robert Klausner with a law license in 1967.
Judge Robert Klausner has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough since he obtained his law license. From 1969 through 2002 Bobby worked as (a) deputy LA County DA, (b) Court Commissioner in Pasadena Municipal Court and (c) LA County Superior Court Judge.
In 2002 President George W. Bush was duped into appointing Klausner to a federal judgeship in the Central District of California even though he was 61-years-old at the time. Clearly, Klausner didn’t get this appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in Los Angles. He got it the old fashioned way by carrying water for the local political hacks for many years.
It is apparent to me that law firms in the greater Los Angeles area weren’t about to offer Klausner a good paying position. I don’t blame them, do you?
Judge Klausner’s annual taxpayer funded earnings for 2011 are as follows:
In addition, Klausner earned about $62,000 in dividends and interest. Therefore, his total income was $363,974.
Chief Justice John Roberts and his cadre of apologists and enablers for the judiciary are demanding that federal judges receive a pay increase of between 30% and 50%. These buffoons have the chutzpah to claim that judges like Klausner are woefully underpaid.
If these whiners get their way, Klausner’s federal salary would increase to as much as $261,000 (5 times the average household income). Add his California pension of $127,974 and investment income of at least $62,000, and Klausner’s annual income would be just north of $450,000.
Does any average, hardworking, overtaxed American actually believe that Klausner is really underpaid?
