U.S. Judge Reed O’Connor of Ft. Worth, TX; Reliable Homophobe

he state of Texas presented Reed O'Connor with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from South Texas University School of Law.

FYI: South Texas College of Law is ranked as the 177th best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.

This isn’t the first article dealing with Judge O’Connor. An article regarding his homophobic attitude can be found by visiting the URL listed at the end of this article.

The state of California presented Gonzalo Paul Curiel with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from Indiana University Law School.

Former President George W. Bush was duped into appointing Reed to a seat on the U.S. District Court for the Norther District of Texas in Fort Worth in 2007. Reed didn’t get the appointment because he was the most qualified lawyer in the greater Dallas/Ft. Worth area. He got it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

In this matter, Judge O’Connell’s soulmate and fellow Homophobic Bigot assured that his lawsuit attacking the U.S. Education Department’s letter advising school districts throughout the country that they “may not require transgender students to use facilities inconsistent with their gender identity or to use individual-user facilities when other students are not required to do so” would be assigned to O’Connell, which it was.

This type of “Judge Shopping” should be illegal in that it assures an outcome from like-minded bigots. Of course if a liberal organization like the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) engaged in the same type of conduct, AG Paxton and his fellow right-wing comrades would unmercifully attack such conduct.

Since Judge O’Connor is only 51-years-of-age (DOB: 1965), he’ll be available to hand out favorable rulings to his Homophobic Compatriots for at least another 30 or more years.

As we speak (ca. May 2016), O’Connor remains sitting as a U.S. District Court Judge in Fort Worth, Texas.
