U.S. Judge Richard Kopf of Omaha; repeat offender

The state of Nebraska presented Richard George Kopf with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from the University of Nebraska Law School.

Former President George W. Bush as duped into appointing Borman as Judge to the U.S. District Court of Nebraska in 1992. Kopf didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Omaha area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

Judge Kopf operates a blog entitled Hercules and the Umpire. One of Kopf’s recent (early July 2015) posts as titled “Senator Ted Cruz in not fit to be President. He then went on to attack Cruz for his proposal to introduce term limits for U.S. Supreme Court Justices. (Alex Griswold, Mediaite)

Judge Kopf absolutely knew for a fact that his comments about Sen. Cruz violated the Code of Conduct for U.S. Judges that states, “A judge should not publicly endorse of oppose a candidate for public office.

Of course Kopf doesn’t fear that he’ll suffer any real consequences for his misconduct since he can’t be removed from office unless congress impeaches him.

In later 2011, Kopf assumed the position as a senior status judge. What this means is that he is only required to work 10-hours-a-week in order to continue to receive his $199, 100 a year salary.

As we speak (ca. July 2015) Judge Kopf remains sitting as District Court judge in Omaha, Nebraska.
