US Judge Guido Calabresi of New York; ethical dwarf

The state of Connecticut presented Guido Calabresi with a law license in 1958 after he graduated from Yale University Law School.

President Clinton was duped into appointing Guido to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in 1994. Guido didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney or judge in the greater New York City area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The Judicial Council for the Second Circuit found Guido guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Guido found it acceptable to make remarks about President Bush that he knew or should have known violated the code of judicial conduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Judicial Council punished Guido by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. April 2015), Guido continues to sit as a Senior Judge on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

It should be noted that Guido took on Senior Status in 2009, which means he is only required to work ten (10) hours-a-week while being paid a full yearly salary of $211,200.
