It’s a bird! It’s a plane.
No—it’s David Palmer.
The self-proclaimed judicial watchdog from Columbus stuck again Thursday, this time in the skies above Capitol Square.
Palmer paid $600 for two planes to fly banners critical of Thomas J. Moyer, Ohio’s chief justice, and Judge James Mason of Franklin County Domestic Relations and Juvenile Court.
The 7-foot messages stem from a divorce settlement and ongoing child-custody dispute between Jill Schottenstein and her ex-husband, Steven, chief operating officer of M/I Homes.
Jay Wuebbbold, a spokesman for Chief Justice Thomas Moyer, said he was unable to comment because a motion for reconsideration recently was filed in the Supreme Court in a case involving the Schottenstein family’s $10 million trust fund.
Last month, the court voted 5-2 to reject an appeal from Jill Schottenstein, allowing several lower-court rulings to stand.
