Solicitor George Marshall of Tasmania; ethical troll

The Law Society presented George Rockwell Marshall with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Tasmania School of Law.

The Legal Profession Board of Tasmania found George guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in professional misconduct
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in unreasonable delay in investing estate funds
  • Failed to provide competent representation in probate matter (Half-Wit)
  • Unreasonably delayed in making contact in regards to deceased’s superannuation account
  • Failed to comply with Probate Court order (Screw you, said George!)
  • Failures to properly represent client caused estate to suffer substantial losses
  • Negligence led to estate incurring increased legal costs

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Legal Profession Board punished George by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed investigative costs of $20,000.00.

As we speak (ca. February 2022), George practices his so-called brand of law at 3/16 Freeman Street in Kingston, Tasmania.
