Attorney David Smith of Tasmania; ethical dwarf

The Law Society of Tasmania provided David Michael Smith with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of Tasmania School of Law.

The Legal Profession Board of Tasmania found Davie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in unsatisfactory professional misconduct
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Davie!)
  • Ordered to pay compensation to two complainants [victims] in the amount of $17,017.02

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Legal Profession Board punished Davie by gifting him with a complimentary admonition and assessed investigative costs of $28,231.89.

As we speak (ca. August 2021), Davie practices his so-called brand of law 30 The Esplanade in Tasmania.
