Solicitor Kwong Ka Yin of Hong Kong; ethical Goblin

The Law Society of Hong Kong presented Kwong Ka Yin with a law license in 1988 after she graduated from the University of Hong Kong School of Law.

The Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Kwong Ka Yin guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Procured relevant parties to execute a nomination showing purchase of property by a nominator as agent for her client and that the nominator nominated her client as the Beneficial Owner to take up a Sale and Purchase Agreement and Assignment when in fact no such nomination had ever taken place
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators(Screw you, said Kwong!)
  • Failed to comply with inspection notice submitted by The Law Society (Up yours, said Kwong!)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Kwong Ka Yin by gifting her with a complimentary censure and fined HK$110,000.00 ($14,052.00 US).

As we speak (ca. February 2020), Kwong Ka Yin practices with Chan J. Yip, So & Partners at 10 Ice House Street, Central in Hong Kong.
