Solicitor Tang Ming Fai of Hong Kong; ethical troll   

 

The Law Society of Hong Kong presented Tang Ming Fai with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the City University of Hong Kong School of Law.

 

The Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Tang Ming Fai guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to settle the outstanding fee of counsel, Lawrence Lok
  • Failed to answer letters sent by the Law Society requiring him to provide his explanation on his failure to settle the outstanding fee of Mr. Lok (Screw you, said Tang!)
  • Failed to settle the outstanding fee of counsel Mr. Wilson W. S. Lau
  • Failed to answer letters sent by the Law Society requiring him to provide his explanation on his failure to settle the outstanding fee of Mr. Lau
  • Failed to submit the Employees Return of the Firm for the year of 2008, 2009 and 2010 on time
  • Failed to answer letters sent by the Law Society requiring him to provide his explanation on his failure to submit the Employees Return for the year of 2008, 2009 and 2010 on time (Up yours, said Tang!)
  • Failed to submit the Employees Returns of the Firm within the stipulated time
  • Failed to answer enquiries from the Law Society concerning his professional conduct or to explain his conduct when required to do so (Screw you, said Tang!)
  • Engaged in conduct unbefitting of a solicitor in that he had failed to settle the outstanding counsel’s fees submit the Employees Returns of the Firm within the stipulated time and persistently

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Tang Ming Fai by gifting him with a complimentary 12-month suspension.

 

As we speak (ca. October 2019), Tang Ming Fai practices with Chan & Ho at 32-34A Dundas Street in Kowloon, Hong, Kong.
