The Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Cecil guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Cecil by gifting him with a complimentary censure and a fine of HK$12,000.00 ($978,799.50 US).

As we speak (ca. October 2019), Cecil practices with Kwok Yih & Chan at 9 Queen’s Road Central in Hong, Kong.
