U.S. Judge Daniel Dominguez of Puerto Rico; incompetent Dumbo

The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico presented Daniel R. Dominguez with a law license in 1970 after he graduated from the University of Puerto Rico Law School.

Former President Bill Clinton was duped into appointing Danny as Judge to the U.S. District Court of Puerto Rico in 1994.  Danny didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in Puerto Rico. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

It should be noted that Danny assumed senior status as a judge on July 31, 2011. This allowed Danny to continue to collect his annual salary ($199,100 ca. 2016); however, he is only required to work ten (10) hours a week to collect said undeserved salary.

In one matter, Danny was assigned to hear the case of Kathy Rodriguez-Vives v. Puerto Rico Firefighters Corps of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

In her suit, Kathy claimed that the Firefighters Corps refused to hire her as a firefighter because of her gender. In settling the lawsuit, the Corps agreed to hire Kathy as a ‘transitory firefighter until the next training academy was held, to admit her to the academy, and to hire her as a firefighter if she graduated.

Subsequently, Kathy again sued the Corps, alleging that, during her transitory employment, the Corps subjected her to various forms of abuse in retaliation for her earlier suit. This alleged post-settlement mistreatment, she argued, constituted both sex discrimination and unlawful retaliation.

To further prove that he’s a moron (my apologies to Morons), Danny granted the Corp’s motion to dismiss Kathy’s new lawsuit by claiming she failed to state a legitimate claim.

Kathy’s lawyers filed an appeal of Danny’s asinine dismissal of her lawsuit. The appeal led to Circuit Court of Appeals to reverse Danny’s dismissal action. In doing so, the Court stated that Kathy’s lawsuit “states a plausible clime of unlawful retaliation under U.S. Title VII.

Of course, Danny the Dumbo doesn’t much give a damn about following the law and/or being reversed. He knows that no federal judge has ever been tossed off the bench for being a Certified Dumbo. Moreover, he isn’t concerned that the taxpayers will have to pay for his idiotic conduct since Kathy’s lawsuit must now be reinstated.

As we speak (ca. March 2017), Danny the Dumbo (DD) continues to sit as a U.S. District Court judge in San Juan Puerto Rico.
