Gov. Tate Reeves (MS): Today’s “Misogynistic Loser” Award Winner

Tate is another in a long list of Misogynistic Morons (M&Ms) that are of the firm believe that they have an absolute right to personally interfere in a woman’s right to choose despite the fact that they have no familial relationship to the impregnated woman. And this belief extends to Tate and those of his ilk even though they were not responsible for the pregnancy.

During a recent (ca. May 2022), interview on CNN, Tate was questioned about his stance on Mississippi law limiting and/or prohibiting a woman’s right to choose. During said interview, Tate was repeatedly asked to state whether victims of incest would be forced to give birth under Mississippi’s pending anti-abortion law.

When the right-wing ideologues on the U.S. Supreme Court vote in June to overturn Roe v. Wade and deem the matter to be a “states right” issue, Mississippi will then return to its prior law outlawing abortions in the instance of rape. When Jake Tapper questioned Tape on the matter, the conversation went like this.

JAKE:

“The law has “no exception for incest.”

TATE:

“Well, that’s going to be the law because in 2007, the Mississippi legislature passed it.”

JAKE:

“So, assuming the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade, the state of Mississippi will force girls and women who are the victims of incest to carry those children to term.”

“Can you explain why that is going to be your law?”

TATE:

“Well, as you know, Jake, over 92% of all abortions in America are elective procedures.”

“When you look at the number of those that actually are involved, incest is less than 1%” of abortions in America each year.”

I wonder how Pete would have reacted if his daughter Tyler, Emma or Maddie would had been raped by his younger brother, their uncle when they were 13 or younger. Think he would have forced them to have the baby even though it was due to the criminal conduct of his brother?

I’m fairly confident that Tate would not have prevented either one of his daughters from receiving an abortion if they were victim of incest by his younger brother.

As we speak (ca. May 2022), Tate continues to be a total embarrassment for a good portion of Mississippians.
