Solicitor Anthony Whitcombe of New Zealand; ethical gremlin

The Law Society of New Zealand presented Anthony George Whitcombe with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of Auckland Law School. 

The New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal found Tony guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in a clear conflict of interest between clients
• Deficits in client agreement were numerous and serious
• Tony’s conduct was certainly a case of clear negligence
• Failed to properly protect his vendor client from risks posed by the conflict of interest

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Tribunal punished Tony by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Tony practices with Whitcombe Guinness & Kitchingham in Greymouth, New Zealand.
