Solicitor Phillip Allan of New Zealand; ethical gnome

The Law Society of New Zealand presented Phillip Nigel Allan with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from the University of Auckland Law School.

The New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in unsatisfactory conduct
  • Failed to inform Legal Aid about difficulties with an assignment of costs claim
  • Failed to follow up a decision regarding costs in respect of that same matter
  • Failed to respond in a timely way to requests from other practitioners and clients

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Tribunal punished Tony by gifting him with a complimentary censure plus investigative costs of $20,992.20.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Phil practices in Armagh, Christchurch, New Zealand.
