Attorney Julie Amourgis of Toronto, CAN; lying cheater

The Law Society of Canada presented Julie Evelyn Amourgis with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of New Brunswick Law School.

The Law Society of Upper Canada found Julie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Practicing law and/or providing office space to disbarred attorney
  • Permitting disbarred solicitor to counsel her client to falsify a claim
  • Deliberately breach escrow conditions
  • Failed to return deposit monies in real estate transaction (cheater)
  • Failed to comply with Provincial Court order
  • Provided false testimony under oath (perjury)
  • Attempted to induce various solicitors to file misleading (false) letters with Legal Aid Plan for purpose of avoiding the tax collection process of Revenue Canada

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee of Inquiry punished Julie by gifting her with a complimentary 3-year suspension of her law license.

Because attorneys in Canada are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Julie was never criminally prosecuted for perjury.

As we speak (ca. October 2014), Julie practices with The Law Chambers at 2000-393 University Avenue in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
