Newfoundland, Canada’s 2018: Attorney Ivory Soap Purity Ratings = 98.5%

Ivory Soap advertises a purity rating of 99.4%. In the Newfoundland legal system, there are 833 attorneys practicing throughout the province. For the year 2018, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society of Newfoundland handed out the following complimentary sanctions against twelve (12) attorneys for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

• 6 = number of cautions
• 6 = number of reprimands

This laughable finding by the Newfoundland Law Society means that Newfoundland’s 98.5% Ivory Soap Purity rating for 2018 is preposterous in that it indicates the near impossibility of finding a dishonest or incompetent attorney.

This would mean that if all 833 attorneys attended a Gander Flyers hockey game at the Steele Community Centre in Gander, Newfoundland with a seating capacity of 1,100 it’d be nearly impossible to locate the 5 unethical and/or incompetent attorneys even if they raised their hands in unison.

And lastly, the citizens of Newfoundland have the folks sitting on the Newfoundland Law Society to thank for failing to take affirmative and appropriate steps to protect you and yours from unethical and/or incompetent attorneys.
