Rep. Justin Amish (R-MI): “Moron” Award Winner

Justin succeeded in duping the voters in the greater Grand Rapids area into electing him as a member of Congress in November 2010.

Justin is yet another lawyer running amuck in the halls of Congress who finds it acceptable to spew forth hyperbolic (BS) rants and/or to tell outright falsehoods. Apparently, Justin did quite well in learning how to tell untruths while attending the University of Michigan Law School in the early 2000s.

During a recent appearance on CNN’s State of the Union, reporter Candy Crowley queried Justin in regards to the Obamacare provision that forces insurers to cover preexisting conditions.

Ms. Crowley asked Justice to provide an answer as to what would happen to people with preexisting conditions like heart disease, diabetes, asthma and cancer if Obamacare wasn’t the law.

The Moron suggested that insurance plans already had an answer to preexisting conditions. This prompted Ms. Crowley to ask the Moron:

“What’s the alternative to those who now find that their preexisting conditions don’t matter, they can still get insurance. What do you say to the 25-year-old that still needs to stay on his parents’ policy? What happens to them if Obamacare goes away?”

The Moron responded by saying:

  • “Preexisting conditions can be covered."
  • "In fact they are covered by some insurance policies.”
Of course the Moron’s answer is pure bunk because there aren’t any insurers that provide for coverage for preexisting conditions.

Congrats Justin; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Morons”; you are far too humble.
