► Attorney Benjamin Hanes of Menasha, WI; convicted pervert

The state of Wisconsin presented Benjamin Hanes with a law license in 2011 after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Benny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Convicted of misdemeanor fourth-degree sexual assault
  • Benny’s criminal acts, which involved sexual contact without consent and behavior endangered the public and law officers
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Charged with second-degree recklessly endangering safety, fleeing/eluding an officer, all felonies
  • Charged with bail jumping, a felony
  • Benny was also charged with two misdemeanor counts: resisting/obstructing an officer and operating while revoked
  • Convicted of three felonies: second- degree recklessly endangering safety, fleeing/eluding an officer, and bail jumping
  • Benny was sentenced to one year in jail with six months of that time stayed, and three years of probation
  • After disobeying the sheriff's command to exit his car, Benny drove off and a high speed chase ensued When law enforcement finally cornered Benny, he tried to flee on foot; he was ultimately subdued by a Taser
  • Benny went for drinks with others and afterward the group returned to an apartment where a woman in the group fell asleep on a couch
  • While she was sleeping, Benny sexually assaulted her
  • After she woke up, Benny again assaulted her again

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Benny by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license and assessed investigative costs of $7,704.67.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Benny practices his so-called brand of law with Ben Hanes Attorney at Law at 430 Ahnaip Street in Menasha, Wisconsin.
