Attorney Daniel Enright of Eau Claire, WI; moronic loser

The state of Wisconsin presented Daniel A. Enright with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from Marquette University School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation (OLR) found Danny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Danny represented a client in a civil matter, in which the client alleged that her ex-husband physically assaulted and battered her, resulting in serious injury
  • The court dismissed the suit without prejudice because Danny failed to serve the defendant with an authenticated copy of the summons and complaint within the required statutory period
  • Danny later filed a second suit on the client’s behalf regarding the same allegations, hoping that the ex-husband’s payment of some medical expenses would extend the original statute of limitation
  • Once again, the trial court dismissed the client’s case due to Danny’s failure to comply with the statutory limits for so action
  • While the case was still open, Danny and the client, without independent representation, entered into an agreement intended to limit Danny’s liability for his handling of the client’s claims
  • In return, Danny agreed to pay the client $15,000 by a specified date.
  • Danny ultimately paid the client $5,000, after the date specified in the agreement; however, he made no further payments

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Danny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2022), Danny practices his so-called brand of law with the Enright Law Office at 2215 East Clairmont Avenue in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
