Attorney Justin Marcum of Williamson, WV; cheating druggie

The state of West Virginia presented Justin Jerome Marcum with a law license in 2011 after he graduated from the University of West Virginia School of Law.

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board found Justin guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Represented a client in drug-related criminal matter
  • While representing the client in the drug case, Justice illegally purchased drugs from the client
  • Engaged in an egregious conflict of interest
  • Engaged in prohibited solicitation of professional employment
  • Knowingly made a false statement to ethics investigators (Screw you, said Justin!)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Charged his client an unreasonable fee (cheater)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished Justin by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2023), Justin practices his so-called brand of law in Williamson, West Virginia.

CAUTION: Justin does not carry legal malpractice insurance
