Attorney Arthur Boelter of Seattle; serial offender 
The state of Washington presented Arthur H. Boelter with a law license in 1979 
after he graduated from DePaul University Law School. 
The Washington State Bar found Art guilty of the following misconduct.
Art’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree
  • Threatened to disclose client confidences in order to collect fees
  • Falsely claimed he tape-recorded conversation with client
  • Charged clearly excessive and unreasonable fees (crook)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the 
Washington State Supreme Court punished Art by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. 
Art’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree
  • Failed to maintain required trust account with payable interest
  • Failed to maintain complete records of client funds
  • Improperly deposited earned fees into trust accounts
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the 
Washington State Supreme Court punished Art by gifting him with a second complimentary 
reprimand. 
Art’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to properly supervise non-attorney staff
  • Failed to provide client with bankruptcy dismissal order
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the 
Washington State Supreme Court punished Art by gifting him with a  third complimentary 
reprimand.
