Attorney Lowell Halverson of Arlington, WA; philandering loser

The state of Washington presented Lowell Klark Halverson with a law license in 1968 after he graduated from the University of Washington Law School.

The Washington State Bar found Lowell guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Engaged in numerous conflicts of interest
  • Failed to explain matters to extent necessary to permit clients to make informed decisions regarding representation

Over the course of several years, Lowell found it acceptable to engage in sexual relationships with six (6) female clients despite the fact that he was married.

In one case, a client hired Lowell to represent her in a divorce action. Lowell filed the dissolution petition and the client moved out of her husband’s house. The same month, the client told Lowell she was attracted to him. Shortly thereafter, Lowell took the client to an art exhibit and then to a restaurant, where they discussed the ground rules for a relationship.

Lowell told the client that his wife couldn’t find out and that he could not have a relationship with the client’s children. Subsequently, Lowell’s wife, who was also his office manager, discovered him having an affair. Shortly thereafter, the affair ended.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington State Supreme Court punished Lowell by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license. .

As we speak (January 2013), Lowell practices at 1372 Tastad Road in Arlington, Washington.
