Attorney Brian Berkenmeier of Longview, WA; convicted wife beater and druggie

The state of Washington presented Brian L. Berkenmeier with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Williamette University School of Law.

The Washington State Bar found Brian guilty of the following misconduct.

• Repeatedly violated court orders
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep clients informed of status of their legal matters
• Pled guilty to domestic violence assault
• While in jail failed to provide alternate representation for his clients
• Pled guilty to negligent driving
• Pled guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Brian by gifting him with a complimentary 4-month suspension of his law license
