Attorney Mark Prothero of Spokane, WA; rubber checks

The state of Washington presented Mark Charles Prothero with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Washington Law School.

The Washington State Bar found Charlie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Wrote numerous checks on insufficient funds account (rubber)
• Failed to reconcile trust account statements
• Failed to reimburse client trust accounts for bank charges
• Failed to maintain complete records of all client funds
• Failed to render appropriate accountings to clients re: client funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Charlie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. February 2017), Charlie practices at 421 West Riverside Avenue in Spokane, Washington.
