Attorney Alex Chun of Edmonds, WA; ethical goblin

The state of Washington presented Alex S. Chun with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of Pacific McGeorge School of Law.

The Washington State Bar found Alex guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Failed to maintain current, accurate trust account records
• Failed to properly and timely reconcile his trust account records
• Failed to promptly pay funds held in trust to those entitled to receive them
• Failed to make reasonable efforts to ensure that his nonlawyer office manager properly accounted for and disbursed trust funds to those entitled to receive them
• Failed to ensure that this office manager did not improperly convert funds from trust

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Alex by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Alex practices his brand of law with the Law Office of Jaunn Shim & Associates PLLC at 23607 Highway 90 in Edmonds, Washington.
