Attorney Amy Butters of Clearfield, UT; idiotic loser

The state of Utah presented Amy L. Butters with a law license in 2001 after she graduated from California Western University School of Law.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Amy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to communicate with clients
  • Failed to provide competent representation (Idiot)
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Failed to decline/terminate representation when required to so act
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Amy!)
  • Client bankruptcy filing dismissed twice for failure to pay filing fee
  • Failed to file the requisite documents with bankruptcy court on behalf of her client resulting in the case was dismissed for failure to prosecute
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to attend noticed bankruptcy hearing on client’s behalf

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Amy by gifting her with a complimentary 1-year term of probation.

As we speak (ca. March 2019), Amy practices with Butters Law PC at 1412 South Legend Hills Drive in Clearfield, Utah.
