Attorney Charles Currier of Knoxville; ethical misfit

The state of Tennessee presented John Arnold Fitzgerald with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the University of Tennessee Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Charlie guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Charlie was found grossly negligent and in willful contempt for failing to file mandatory appellate briefs in two criminal cases on behalf of his clients (victims).

He was originally sentenced to five days in jail by the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals. However, he was able to avoid the sentence by filing the briefs by the final date set by the court.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Charlie by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. January 2014), Charlie practices at 6801 Stone Mill Drive in Knoxville, Tennessee.
