Attorney Daniel Dixon of Chadds Ford, PA; ignoramus, slacker

 

The state of Pennsylvania provided Daniel Michael Dixon with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Widener University School of Law.

 

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Danny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in multiple instances of misrepresentation to his client over one year period
  • Failed to provide competent representation (Ignoramus)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to explain matter to extent necessary to permit client to make informed decisions regarding representation
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Knowingly made false statement of material fact or law to a tribunal (Up yours, said Danny!)
  • Knowingly offered evidence that he knew to be false
  • Violated or attempted to violate rules of professional responsibility, knowingly assisted, or induced another to do so or did so through the acts of another
  • Committed a criminal act adversely reflecting on honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Danny by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license effective as of March 4, 2022.  

 

As we speak (ca. March 2022, Danny will resume his so-called practice of law with Murphy Maddren & Dixon LTD at 6 Dickinson Drive in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania in early 2023.
