Attorney Mark Cross of Oregon City, OR; cheating loser

The State of Oregon presented Mark Austin Cross with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the Northwestern School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Mark guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to promptly deliver funds a client is entitled to receive
  • Failed to render a full accounting at the client’s request
  • Failed to take reasonable steps to protect a client upon termination of representation
  • Failed to respond to inquiries from a regulatory authority (Screw you, said Mark!)
  • Failed Respondent to refund unearned portion of money at conclusion of the matter (cheater)
  • Mark’s refusal to refund unearned fees led client to file a lawsuit wherein the client received a money judgment against Mark for $10,000
  • Mark’s conduct caused his client actual injury
  • Misconduct involved selfish and dishonest motive
  • Respondent received a public reprimand for his failure to communicate with a client in a post-dissolution modification matter

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 150-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2023), Mark practices his so-called brand of law with Mark Austin Cross PC at 16261 Oak Tree Terrace in Oregon City, Oregon.
