Attorney Kurt Black of Wilsonville, OR; cheating loser

The State of Oregon presented Kurt Black with a law license in 1970 after he graduated from Williamette University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Kurt guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Refused to pay his partner one-half share of $15,000 in net profits from the sale of flooring pursuant to a written contract to so act
  • Illegally converted $7,500 in profits owed to his partner
  • After the partner complained to Kurt about his half of the net profits, Kurt executed a promissory note for $7,100 in favor of the partner, but failed to pay the note leading to the partner filing an ethics complaint

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Kurt by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. December 2022), Kurt practices his brand of law at 10425 SW Tranquil Way in Wilsonville, Oregon.
