Attorney Lindsay Fowler of Eugene, OR; ethical goblin

The state of Oregon presented Lindsay H. Fowler with a law license in 2002 after she graduated from West Virginia University School of Law.  

The Disciplinary Counsel found Lindsay guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Failed to deposit and maintain client funds in trust account
• Charged or collected a fee denominated as earned on receipt without written fee agreement with required disclosures
• Failed to respond to client’s request for a partial refund of unearned fee
• Commingled client funds with personal funds

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Lindsay by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
