Attorney Gary Grenley of Portland, OR; ethical gnome

The state of Oregon presented Gary I. Grenley with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Gary guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to recognize the significant risk that his representation of a client was materially limited by his firm’s responsibilities to another client
• Violated his duty to his clients to avoid conflicts of interest
• Did not make full disclosure and seek consent from either client regarding inherent conflict

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Gary by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Gary practices his brand of law at 121 SW Morrison Street in Portland, Oregon.
