Oregon’s 2018: Attorney Ivory Soap Purity Ratings = 99.2%

Ivory Soap advertises a purity rating of 99.4%. In the Oregon legal system, there are 12,427 attorneys practicing throughout the state. For the year 2018, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California State Bar Court handed out the following complimentary sanctions against ninety-eight (98) attorneys for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

• 16 = number of suspensions
• 4 = number of disbarments
• 18 = number of probationary terms
• 7 = number of resignations with discipline matter pending
• 16 = number of reprimands
• 37 = number of admonitions

This laughable finding by the Oregon Supreme Court means that Oregon’s 99.2% Ivory Soap Purity rating for 2018 is preposterous in that it indicates the near impossibility of finding a dishonest or incompetent attorney.

This would mean that if all 12,427 attorneys attended a University of Oregon basketball game at the Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon with a seating capacity of 12,364, it’d be nearly impossible to locate the 98 unethical and/or incompetent attorneys even if they raised their hands in unison.

And lastly, you Oregonians have the individuals sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court to thank for taking affirmative and appropriate steps to protect you and yours from unethical and/or incompetent attorneys.
