Attorney Mark Cavanaugh of Concord, NH; ethical troll
The state of Massachusetts presented Mark F. Cavanaugh with a law license in 2006 after he graduated from the University of Connecticut Law School. Mark also received a law license to practice in New York in 2006.
The Board of Bar Overseers found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.
-
Negligently failed to confirm to his Massachusetts firm that he was paying his New York annual attorney registration fee
-
Failed to register and to pay his Massachusetts annual registration fee
-
Because Mark failed to pay the annual Massachusetts fee, his law license was suspended due to his failure to register
-
Engaged in the unauthorized practice of law while license suspended
-
Mark did not seek reinstatement within thirty days of the entry of the order of administrative suspension
-
Mark intentionally failed without good cause to reply to two letters from bar counsel (Screw you, said Mark!)
-
It was only after the Board of Bar Overseers issued a subpoena that Mark appeared for questioning
-
-
Knowingly failed without good cause to respond to a lawful demand for information from a disciplinary authority in connection with a disciplinary matter (Up yours, said Mark!)
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. January 2023) Mark practices his so-called brand of law with the New Hampshire Retirement System at 54 Regional Drive in Concord, New Hampshire.
