Attorney Thomas Lyons Jr. of Vadnais Heights, MN; serial offender

The state of Minnesota presented Thomas J. Lyons Jr. with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School.

The Minnesota Office of Lawyer Regulation found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct

Tommy’s 7th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Prosecuted frivolous (BS) claims in three separate cases
  • Failed to follow proper affidavit procedures
  • Misconduct resulted in court imposed sanctions
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Tommy’s 8th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Lied to opposing counsel that he client wasn’t dead in regards to settlement of dead client’s legal claims
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Gave false testimony (perjury) to referee about when he learned of client’s death
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Lied that client was hospitalized when in fact the client was dead
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Tommy!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

In addition to the above reprimand and suspension, Tommy was previously disciplined six (6) separate times for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

Because Attorney Misfits in Minnesota are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Tommy was never criminally charged with perjury or for filing a false police report.

As we speak (ca. January 2015), Tommy practices at 367 Commerce Court in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota.
