The state of Minnesota presented Matthew K. Begeske with a law license in 1990.
 
The Minnesota Office of Lawyer Regulation found Matthew guilty of the following misconduct.
 
Matthews 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree
  • Failed to timely file federal and state individual income tax returns
  • Failed to timely file federal employer withholding taxes for seven quarters
  • Failed to file and pay state withholding returns for 12 quarters
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Matthew by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
 
Matthews 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree
  • Neglected a client’s legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to prepare written fee agreement as required
  • Failed to account for fees he received
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Matthew by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.
