Attorney David Desmidt of Minneapolis; ethical ogre

The state of Minnesota presented David G. Desmidt with a law license in 2082 after he graduated from Hamline School of Law.

FYI: Mitchell Hamline is ranked as the 164th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to deposit advance fees into client trust accounts
  • Failed to keep clients informed of status of their matters
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Abandoned appeal of one client
  • Deliberately failed to file appellate brief on client’s behalf
  • Made a series of misrepresentations [lies] to client regarding the appeal
  • Failed to give client reasonable notice of his decision not to pursue the appeal
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2020), Bobby practices at 3001 Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
