The state of Minnesota presented Michael Brady Padden with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from Hamline University School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Patty guilty of the following misconduct.

• Settled case without client’s consent
• Failed to communicate settlement agreement to his client
• Improperly provided financial assistance to his client
• Made inaccurate statement to a trial court
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Patty by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed $900.00 in costs.
