Attorney John Ellenbecker of St. Cloud, MN; repeat offender

 

The state of Minnesota presented John D. Ellenbecker with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the William Mitchell Law School.

 

The Minnesota Office of Lawyer Regulation found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Johnny’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to properly account for client property
  • Failed to pay professionally-incurred judgment (deadbeat)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Johnny!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Johnny’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in a pattern of neglect
  • Failed to adequately communicate with clients
  • Misused his trust account
  • Failed to maintain required trust account books and records
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Johnny!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. September 2015), Johnny practices at 803 West Saint Germain Street in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
