The state of Minnesota presented Dennis J. Murphy with a law license in 1963.

The Minnesota Office of Lawyer Regulation found Denny guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Denny found it acceptable to lie to a client that legal proceedings had taken place in a divorce action.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Denny the Felon by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
