Attorney Philip Brown of Framingham, MA; moronic slacker

The state of Massachusetts presented Philip R. Boncore with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from Suffolk University School of Law.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to maintain complete records of the receipt, maintenance, and disposition of trust account funds
  • Failed to prepare and maintain a check register that showed the current balance in the IOLTA account after each deposit or withdrawal
  • Failed to prepare and maintain a chronological ledger for each client or third person matter for which he received trust funds
  • Failed to document each receipt and disbursement of the funds of the client or third person
  • Failed to prepare and maintain reconciliation reports at least every sixty days showing the required reconciliation of the check register, individual ledgers,
  • and bank statements for his IOLTA trust account
  • Failed to promptly disburse funds from real estate closings
  • Failed to promptly deliver to a third person funds that the third person was entitled to receive

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2020) Phil practices with the Law Office of Philip C. Brown Esq at 615 Concord Street in Framingham, Massachusetts.
