Attorney Charles Fineblum of Owings Mills, MD; ethical troll

The state of Maryland presented Charles Allan Fineblum with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Charlie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed adequately communicate with his clients
  • Failed to safekeep funds in an attorney trust account
  • Failed to properly supervise non-attorney assistants
  • Impermissibly shared legal fees with non-attorneys
  • Assisted non-lawyer in engaging in the unauthorized practice of law
  • Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to comply with attorney trust account record-keeping requirements
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Improperly delegated significant responsibilities in personal injury matters to an independent paralegal firm
  • Neglected to supervise the paralegal firm

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Charlie by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. December 2022), Charlie practices his so-called brand of law at 10220 South Dolfield Road in Owings Mills, Maryland.
