The state of Kentucky presented Maria A. Fernandez with a law license in 1990 after she graduated from the University of Louisville of Law School.

The Kentucky Bar Association found Maria guilty of the following misconduct.

• Acted upon matter w/o client’s authority to do so
• Charged an unreasonable fee (cheater)
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Accepted payment from someone other than a client
• Failed to disclose a material fact to a tribunal

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on Kentucky Supreme Court the punished Maria by gifting her with a complimentary 91-day suspension of her law license.
